There is no storage spot on our map inside the castle grounds. The closest place is under the SNP Bridge (under 400 m as the crow flies), then the Old Town spots 500-800 m away.

What's the cheapest storage near the castle?

The Bounce spot near Gallery Multium from €2.50/day (about a 10-12 minute walk). The SNP Bridge lockers are closest but much pricier — €6-8 for 2 hours depending on size.

Can I get up to the castle with a suitcase?

Not recommended — the way up is cobblestones and stairs (Zámocká street, the Castle Steps). Leave the bag in the Old Town and walk up light; the climb takes 15-20 minutes.

The route up, without a suitcase

Drop your bag in the Old Town or under the SNP Bridge.
From St Martin's Cathedral, pass under the SNP Bridge approach to Zámocká street.
Walk up Zámocká (or the Castle Steps) — the climb takes 15-20 minutes, mostly cobblestones and stairs.
The castle courtyards and grounds are free to enter; you pay only for the museum exhibitions.
