Can I store luggage at Bratislava Castle itself?

There is no storage spot on our map inside the castle grounds. The closest place is under the SNP Bridge (under 400 m as the crow flies), then the Old Town spots 500-800 m away.

What's the cheapest storage near the castle?

The Bounce spot near Gallery Multium at €2.50 per bag per day, about a 10-12 minute walk from the castle. Other Old Town spots are €4.50 (Bounce) or €5 (Radical Storage, insured).

Can I get up to the castle with a suitcase?

Not recommended — the way up is cobblestones and stairs (Zámocká street, the Castle Steps). Leave the bag in the Old Town and walk up light; the climb takes 15-20 minutes.

1. Old Town — closest and cheapest (8-12 min on foot)

If you're in town for the day, this is the sensible pick: leave the bag in the centre, do the castle and the Old Town hands-free, and collect where you finish. Radical by Michael's Gate takes bags until midnight (07:30–24:00).

2. Main train station — if you're leaving by train (10 min by tram)

The route up, without a suitcase

Drop your bag in the Old Town — from Michalská or Ventúrska the castle is 8-12 minutes away.
From St Martin's Cathedral, pass under the SNP Bridge approach to Zámocká street.
Walk up Zámocká (or the Castle Steps) — the climb takes 15-20 minutes, mostly cobblestones and stairs.
The castle courtyards and grounds are free to enter; you pay only for the museum exhibitions.

Why not with a suitcase: cobblestones, a steady climb and stairs. We've watched plenty of people drag 25-kilo suitcases up the Castle Steps — don't be one of them. Storage below starts at €2.50 and you'll do the round trip in half the time.
